Integration and bridging case studies

Each engagement below started with a manual process that had become a constraint on trading. In every case the brief was the same: make the data move on its own, and make it auditable.

Shopify to Sage 200: order and invoice automation at 1,400 orders a week

Shopify Admin APISage 200Webhooks
The problem

A finance team of three exported Shopify orders twice a day and re-keyed them into Sage. Errors in VAT treatment on mixed baskets were being found weeks later, and month-end took three days of reconciliation.

What we built

A webhook-driven flow that raises a correctly coded sales invoice in Sage within seconds of payment, handling mixed VAT rates, discounts, gift cards, refunds and payment provider fees. Failed postings are queued and alerted rather than dropped.

Result
3 days → 4 hrs Month-end close
1,400/wk Orders posted automatically
0 Manual re-keying

“The reconciliation work that used to define our month-end simply stopped existing.”

One NetSuite stock master bridged to Shopify, Amazon and eBay

NetSuiteShopifyAmazon SP-APIeBay
The problem

Stock was maintained in NetSuite but published manually to three channels on a weekly spreadsheet. Fast-moving lines were routinely oversold, and cancellations were damaging marketplace account health.

What we built

A bridging layer that watches NetSuite for stock movements and pushes levels to each channel with per-channel buffer rules, plus a single inbound order pipeline that allocates stock in the order payments are received.

Result

“We stopped holding back stock as insurance, which released working capital immediately.”

A 2011 SQL Server job system given a documented API and connected to HubSpot

SQL ServerCustom REST bridgeHubSpot
The problem

The system of record for 20,000 customers and their service history had no API and no supplier. Sales worked from a separate HubSpot database that diverged within weeks of every import.

What we built

A hosted REST wrapper over the legacy database with read and controlled write access, feeding a two-way synchronisation with HubSpot for company, contact and service-history records. The wrapper also gave the client an API for future projects.

Result
20k Records synchronised
Two-way Sync, conflict-resolved
1 API Reusable for future work

“We had been told the old system was a dead end. It turned out to be an asset once it could talk.”

Courier integration replacing manual label creation across two brands

ShopifyRoyal MailDPDMintsoft
The problem

Warehouse staff copied addresses into two separate courier portals and chose services by eye, producing mis-shipped parcels and no tracking data back in Shopify.

What we built

Service-selection rules by weight, value and destination, automated label and manifest generation from order data, and tracking numbers written back to the Shopify order so customer notifications fire without intervention.

Result
11 sec Average time per despatch
100% Orders with tracking
2 brands On one rule set

“Peak season stopped requiring temporary staff just to print labels.”
